Who we are

BukTryp is a Toronto-based chauffeured transportation company serving the Greater Toronto Area, southern Ontario and long-distance destinations across Canada and the northern United States. We have been moving people since 2009 — to Pearson at 4am, to weddings in Vaughan, to board meetings on Bay Street and to Niagara for the afternoon.

We are not a technology platform matching you with whoever is nearby. We operate vehicles, employ chauffeurs and answer our own phone. When something goes wrong at midnight, a person in Ontario picks up and fixes it.

What we believe about ground transport

A quoted price should be the final price. Traffic, weather and time of day are our problem to plan around, not yours to pay for. Every point-to-point journey is flat-rated, in writing, before you book.

Punctuality is a system, not a promise. Chauffeurs are dispatched with buffer built in, arrivals are tied to live flight data, and vehicles stage nearby rather than setting off when you call. Being on time is an outcome of planning, not of driving quickly.

Discretion is part of the service. Our chauffeurs are trained to be helpful and quiet. Conversation happens if you start it. What is discussed in the car stays there.

Chauffeurs

Every chauffeur holds the municipal vehicle-for-hire licence required to carry passengers in Toronto and the surrounding regions, carries commercial insurance, has passed a criminal record check and an abstract review, and completes defensive driving and service training before their first assignment. They wear business dress, hold the door and load luggage.

Standards are checked, not assumed. Licences and abstracts are re-verified annually, vehicles are inspected on a documented schedule, and every completed journey generates a feedback request that we actually read.

The fleet

Eight vehicle classes covering one passenger to fifty-six. Vehicles are under five years old, non-smoking without exception, detailed between every job, and fitted with winter tyres from November through April — which in Ontario is not a nicety but the difference between arriving and not.

Where we operate

Our own fleet covers Toronto, the GTA and southern Ontario, running as far as Ottawa, Montréal, Windsor and across the border to Buffalo, Detroit, New York and Boston. Beyond that we work through vetted affiliate operators in the rest of Canada and internationally, held to the same licensing, insurance and conduct standards we apply to ourselves.

We are listed with the industry bodies shown at the foot of every page, which keeps that affiliate network accountable to a published standard rather than to a handshake.
