Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
BukTryp Chauffeured Transportation (“BukTryp”, “we”) provides chauffeured transportation in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to support@buktryp.com.
What we collect
Booking information — name, phone number, email, pickup and drop-off addresses, travel dates and times, flight numbers, passenger and luggage counts, and any special requirements you tell us about such as child seats or accessibility needs.
Payment information — processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Website information — pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP address, and device type, collected through Google Analytics.
Why we collect it
To provide the service you booked, to dispatch a chauffeur to the right place at the right time, to track your flight, to take payment, to issue receipts and invoices, to respond to enquiries, and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to licensed vehicle-for-hire operators.
Who we share it with
With the chauffeur assigned to your journey; with an affiliate operator where your journey is outside our own fleet's coverage; with our payment processor; and where required by law or by a licensing authority. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it. Analytics cookies collect usage data in aggregated form. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; the site works normally either way.
We also use Tawk.to to provide the live chat window. If you open a chat, Tawk.to processes the messages you send along with technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you viewed, so that we can answer you. Chat transcripts are retained with our booking records. If you would rather not use it, simply do not open the chat — phone and email reach the same team.
How long we keep it
Booking and trip records are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and licensing requirements. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data follows Google's retention settings.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, withdraw consent to marketing, and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Email support@buktryp.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Security
Data is transmitted over TLS, access to booking systems is restricted to staff who need it, and payment card data is handled by a PCI-compliant processor rather than by us.
